Where have I been?

It's been a busy month, and I think I've been a little tired.
During this pregnancy I've really tried to prioritize and not waste my energy on "non-essentials".
Unfortunately, that seems to mean blogging has been forced into the backseat.

But here's a quick recap of our last month...

1.  Corey painted Shore's room and scraped all the popcorn off of the ceiling...it looks beautiful!
2.  Shore also got some great khaki insulated curtains added to his room...they block out light and keep his room warmer on cold days and cooler on hot ones.
3.  Shore felt like he need to add something to his "new" room so he repainted his giant rock/doorstop to match his new decor direction :)
4.  We made a road trip to Clay City, Kansas for Corey's grandfather's 90th birthday.  It was a long drive but the kids were superstars...and the family time was precious.
5.  Baby Alice has grown and so have I...I'll have to get the kids to take a belly shot soon.  Phew, I'm feeling big!  Just 3 months to go!

I haven't done anything remotely crafty and poor Alice doesn't have a nursery yet.
Maybe this month? Next?
I think I can, I think I can, I think I can...
or maybe I just need another nap.

  1. I LOVE Alice!!! It has always been on my short list of girl names. It fits in beautifully with your other kids' names. Thanks for sharing :)

  3. So happy to see your smiling face! The pics of your time in the hotel look fun--kids are so crazy for pools, huh?!

Shore looks so sweet painting his rock. He reminds me of Soleil but without the little tongue. :) I forgot all about painting rocks; I'm going to do that with my boys. They will love it.

    Did you make Shore's curtains?

We're all excited to see what you end up doing for Alice's nursery as I'm certain it will be adorable and full of charm and whimsy.

xoxo! So glad you're back...even if just for a bit. :)

  4. No, I didn't make the curtains, I ordered them from Country Curtains http://www.countrycurtains.com/ their prices are great and the quality is really top notch. The curatins are very basic, but the insulation makes a huge difference in Shore's room. we have the worst windows! I actually just ordered the same curtains in white for Soleil's room...I plan to "embellish" them to make them look more like some in the Pottery Barn Teen catelog.

That silly rock is Shore's favorite...if I had a dollar for every time I've stubbed my toes on it!!!

    Love you!

  5. Oh, I'm so glad that you say that, Kasey, cuz my mom keeps telling me that it doesn't! She's been lobbying for Scout since the beginning. Unfortunately, Corey continues to nix it.

    Thanks for visiting my blog!
